CLUB PLATE SCHEME: VICTORIA
There are
five steps to obtaining a Vic Roads Club Permit (i.e. your Club Plate).
Your motorcycle or scooter must be at least 25 years old.
This age is from when it left the production line
-
Step 1
Join CIMAA or renew your membership.
-
Step 2
Have your motorcycle/scooter scrutineered by a club
scrutineer.
Call either Reg Gundry (Eastern
suburbs) on 0419 326092 or
Phil Gartelmann (City) on 0404 917952
or 03 93806776, to make a time.
They will perform a safety check and
fill out and sign a CIMAA "Safety Inspection Form".
Note that this is not a
roadworthy certificate.
-
Step 3
Download from the VicRoads website (or pick one up
from any VicRoads office) a Club Permit Registration form.
See www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/Registration/Permits/ClubPermits.htm
for a description of the permit
or download the PDF and print it out
(two copies).
Fill out the form.
-
Step 4
Present the CIMAA "Safety Inspection Form" and the two
copies of the Club Permit Registration form
to the committee for signing.
-
Step 5
Take the signed forms along with your current CIMAA
membership card to VicRoads, pay your money and the plate is yours.
The permit
is valid for one year and is not transferrable to another person or another
motorcycle.
Renewal of the permit simply requires the signing of the renewal form by the
committee and payment of the fee.
